You probably just want to know what I’d think

Most people who hire me say some version of the same thing: they just want to know what I’d say. They’ve read me for years, they know I’ll say the thing other people are too polite to say, and some part of them suspects I’ll say it about their own life. That’s the whole transaction. You’re not here for a framework or a worksheet or a pep talk. You’re here because you want my actual take, and because you have a feeling it’s going to move something you’ve been sitting on for a while.
